サムシング ＆ English Lesson 2.10

長女夫婦が結婚して10年・・・
その記念旅行から　たくさんの楽しい思い出と　お土産を持って無事帰ってきました

今回の英会話教室は
｛something｝・・・について
その中で　Something Four　の事が話題にのぼりました

花嫁が生涯幸せありますようにと願う欧米でのおまじない
結婚式当日に　Something Four　サムシング・フォー　４つの何かを身につける
10年前　その事を知って　いろいろと　娘のために用意したことを　思い出しました

その由来は　イギリスの古い詩にあるようです
（マサーグース・・・とも言われているけれど根拠ははっきりしないそうです）

Something old, something new,
something borrowed, something blue,
and a sixpence in her shoe.

何かひとつ古いもの　何かひとつ新しいもの
何かひとつ借りたもの　何かひとつ青いもの
そして　靴の中には６ペンス銀貨を・・・


something blue・・・　リングピロウのリボンをブルーに・・・


something new・・・ユーチャリスのブーケ　白い長手袋

心傷ついた記念日
パラシュート　軍隊用のブーツ

センチメンタルな宴会
買って　買って
店の窓の看板が言ってる

庭のがらくたが言ってる

ダダダ・・・・

燭台　建物のレンガ
何か古いものと新しい物　　　
君と僕の思い出


授業中
ポールマッカートニーの歌のテープを
聞かせてもらいました
初めて聞いたような・・・
いい歌でした
